November 7, 2007 on 4:23 pm | In The girls' home | Comments Off

We are almost ready to open the home for young girls that are coming to our YWAM Day Care Center.
We are happy to have two new staff with us, Heather Schatz (USA) and Carmen Zaldea (Romania). They will have the main responsibility for the girls. The girls` home is a place where the girls will stay in the evenings and nights. In the day time they are going to school and to the YWAM Day Center.

We will make the girls home to be a place where hey can feel secure and comfortable and continue to experience the love of Jesus in a healthy familiy type atmosphere.

The house has the capacity to house 5 girls, but we will start with just a few girls in the beginning.
Here we will have activities like sewing, baking and other things that normally happen in a family.

Please pray for favor as we are working to get he approvals to open the house as soon as possible!

Day Care Center

Last July the children from the Day Center were at a camp in the mountains in the middle of the country.

They joined 70 other kids for the camp. It was a great time for the kids, and for some of them it was the first time they travelled by train. The fall in Romania is special. Most of the people prepare for the winter time. There are lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, but in the winter there are less and the prices are rising.

Also, at the Day Center we have prepared jam, pickles and desserts for the winter.

Coffee House

After a year of running an English and Film Club, the coffee house has officially opened. The cafe has new name, a new color, and a new vision.

The new name is New Wine Cafe, and the inspiration is from Matt. 9:17 where Jesus talks about how you cannot put new wine into an old wine skin or it will burst. This is a new and unique place in Constanta where students can meet and experience the love of Jesus through friendship and creative expression.

About YWAM

April 29, 2007 on 4:24 pm | In Base | Comments Off

YWAM Explained

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) encompasses thousands of people and hundreds of ministries in almost every country of the world. In every case, our passion is to know God and to make Him known.

We are a mixture of people from all over the world, from about 150 countries in fact. In many of our locations, people from a wide variety of nations serve side by side. We come from numerous different Christian denominations and speak hundreds of languages. Nearly half of our staff come from “non-western” countries, such as Brazil, Korea, Indonesia, India and Nepal.

In addition to our full-time staff, many YWAM locations host short-term outreach teams made up of individuals, youth groups, families and churches who get to participate first-hand in “making God known” through both words and actions. We send out over 25,000 short-term missionaries each year.
